Our First Kids

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :W :W :W :W :W :W :W

We have our first ever goat baby - a little doe.. Cooee!! :W :W :W :W :W :W :W :W :W

Let it be known that Em Nau Nambawan has arrived!!

Last night (09/07/12), Sienna (toggie/nubian cross) squirted/squeezed out a little girl. Sienna has been busy licking all the goop off - Nambawan has been up already having a suck and hooking into the milk bar. Ooohhhh...... ;) ;) ;) ;) How Excitement!!

It seems that the unknown buck that thought Sienna was too good to walk past was aToggie buck, and not the Nubian buck. Therefore mathematics would say Nambawan is 3/4 toggie/nubian, yes?

:W :W :W

And then there was another little doe kid.... :T :EEK1 That makes TWO - Let's count them!  1     2  ........

Nambawan's little sister is Lik-Lik.  Both little girls are standing up, and hooking into the beeps! Nambawan is pretty much almost dry now, and must have already had a decent gutload of tucker, as she's having a little rest - but her sister is making sure the beeps still work!!

Nambawan is a darker colour than her little sister, and also seems to have toggles (little dangly things on her throat) - unlike her sister who is a lighter pretty much grey looking colour with no toggles. Both toggie markings though...

Followingsage advice, both cords have been sprayed with iodine stuff (actually Iodophor - Mad Millie cheesekit stuff - "for sterilising cheesemaking, preserving and canning equipment and freshly born kid umbilical cords" - it says it on the bottle!)
